The Sustainable Cities has taught me about how urban planning, migration, and economies all relate to the climate crisis. Belo Horizonte success story proves that it is indeed possible to use the power of collective action to eliminate systemic dysfunction. I learned more about the social, economic, and political foundations of Brazil and Latin America, focusing on the factors and dysfunction that prompted Belo to make a change. Doing research for this project taught me that striving towards sustainability  is an ultimately rewarding endeavor, with a major payoff in the end that benefits everyone. I also enjoyed becoming more familiar with the software of WordPress, and used a lot of problem solving and troubleshooting to reach my final layout and design. Overall, learning about the mission of the city of Belo Horizonte, its  beautiful diverse population, and its quest towards renewal and justice has been a fascinating journey.
